Enjoyed being in the centre of Exeter with the Cathedral, river basin and shopping. A very interesting compact and enjoyable city. The hotel is just off the main shopping street and a very short walk from the Cathederal and everywhere we planned to visit. The hotel staff and service were excellent and we had great food. As a bonus there was an excellent 3 day food festival in Exeter casle while we were visiting. We also joined in the crowd watching the royal wedding of William and Kate on a big screen in Exeter castle gardens.
Nothing wrong with the hotel for us.

The hotel has a beautiful courtyard, looks good inside and is in a good location.
There was a slight bit of noise outside the hotel at night.

The central Exeter location is excellent and availability of parking on site a useful bonus (when spaces are available). The room was spacious, spotless and well equipped.
Noise - rooms overlooking the car park and hotel entrance do suffer a little because of the nearby nightclub or when loud guests arrive after midnight

V Central, has parking, excellent breakfast, generally excellent staff. Nice touches included homemade cookies in room. Good decor and comfortable spacious room.
No hairdryer in room. was told there should be, no effort made to help, and no replacement provided by the second night. TV badly placed in room- couldn't see it when in bed!

From a busy street you come into a peaceful courtyard. The owner even helped us with a parking space although they were busy with a wedding. It is a family run hotel and very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was everything anyone could want, very efficiently served. Well done.
My pillows could have been softer!

It had a car park- an essential for us as we get older and want the car nearby. It also had a calm, peaceful garden. Our room was excellent-spacious and beautifully decorated. It was well placed for the city centre, and cathedral.
Nothing.

Spacious room, good restaurant, friendly staff, great location in the centre of Exeter.
The mattress had a dip in the middle - very uncomfortable for 2 people. It should be replaced. Only liquid soap in the bathroom.

Location was ideal. Very nice little courtyard, nestled in the heart of the city. Helpful staff, and an excellent cook, although breakfast is an extra.

The location is very central. The courtyard that appears in the photos on the website is nice. Some of the staff were pleasant.
There is a nightclub very close to the hotel, it is noisy until the early hours of the morning. The hotel itself did not seem especially clean. The room was small and scruffy, wallpaper peeling, old fittings etc. There was an occasional smell of sewage in the air, with no obvious source. When we raised this with the staff they did nothing. We had to pay extra to bring our dog, and on arrival the owner was very rude and downgraded us to what appeared to be the worst room in the hotel. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

It felt like a more personal not corporate Hotel. The Regency building will always be an added bonus too. The young lady on reception was totally efficient and friendly. Very good at her job. Another total asset to St. Olaves. Thank you we really enjoyed our stay. Wendy & Martin
The older lady receptionist was a bit unfriendly on our arrival.

The location and parking arrangements are excellent. It was overall value for money and despite being right in the middle of the city it was quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The shower drain was blocked, the flush handle on the loo was loose and the bedside lights had seen better days. Slightly quirky room but clean and I would stay again.
